The Celebrations of Holy Week amid the Corona Virus Crisis.

We have received instructions from the Diocese of Wilmington’s Office of Worship on how each parish is to celebrate Holy Week in the midst of this Corona virus. At Holy Family all the liturgies will be celebrated privately by Fr. Mark. The public is encouraged to be in prayer at the time the liturgies are celebrated.

On Palm Sunday the palm will be blessed but will not be available for distribution until the order to stay home has been lifted by the Governor of the State of Delaware.

Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper Thursday April 9 4 PM
Good Friday - The Passion of the Lord Friday April 10 3 PM

It is also the intention of the diocese to live-stream from the Cathedral the Palm Sunday Mass at 4:00 on April 4, the Holy Thursday Mass at 4:00 on April 9, the Good Friday liturgy on April 10 at 3:00, the Easter Vigil at 8:00 on April 11, and an Easter Mass on April 12. In the meantime, here is something to lift your spirits and prepare you for celebrating the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

God Bless, be safe, and stay home.
